APPRECIATION POST

A Legacy of Vision and Service

Honouring Ba Feh Matthew Doh

The Bali Nyonga Students Association (BANSA) proudly celebrates the visionary leadership, dedication, and unwavering generosity of the 2016–2022 BANSA National Executive Council (NEC), led by National President, Ba Feh Matthew Doh, whose collective efforts successfully revived BANSA after four daunting and challenging years of inactivity due to the socio-political crises in Cameroon and the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Recognizing a critical gap in preserving BANSA’s rich history and enhancing our community’s global presence, Ba Doh Feh, together with his committed executive team and all branches of BANSA, envisioned the creation of a professional and enduring digital platform. A platform that would not only safeguard our history but also amplify our identity, promote cultural awareness on the global stage, and offer virtual spaces for learning, connection, and collaboration. More than a project, it was a vision rooted in preservation, progress, and pride. At a pivotal moment when digital connectivity became indispensable, the NEC moved BANSA beyond informal platforms like Facebook, establishing an official website that captures our cultural legacy, celebrates our achievements, and ensures sustainability and accessibility for future generations.

Today, our official website stands as a testament to the collective vision and tireless effort of the 2016–2022 BANSA leadership. It serves as a dynamic hub, offering vital academic resources, cultural narratives, event updates, and community connection, bridging gaps and fostering unity across generations and geographical boundaries.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ba Doh Feh and his entire 2016-2022 NEC members for believing in the mission of BANSA and for empowering us to step confidently into the digital future. Your generosity, foresight, and enduring commitment will forever be etched in the story of our association.

Thank you all for empowering BANSA to confidently embrace its digital future.

Dedicated to the visionary leadership of the 2016–2022 BANSA NEC

Honouring Ni Peter Fokum

Meet Ni Peter Fokum, fondly known as “Igwe”

Since 2005, Ni Peter Fokum has served as the dedicated General Organizer of the BANSA Cultural Week. A passionate advocate for education and youth empowerment, he has personally awarded over 20 million FCFA in scholarships to outstanding Bali Nyonga students who excelled in the GCE Advanced and Ordinary Levels.

Beyond financial support, Ni Peter has played a pivotal role in shaping futures—securing university admissions abroad for more than 10 students, with several gaining entry into prestigious institutions in the United States.

His unwavering commitment to the growth and success of young BANSANs is truly inspiring. Ni Peter is not just a leader—he is a role model for many in our community.
